Flat Round Elements

I'm Hannah and I love to run - for fun, health, community and to challenge myself. I've taken part in many events from my local Park Run to Marathons and hope to take on my first Ultramarathon soon. As Run Leader for my local running club I discovered my love of running with other people, guiding them and being part of a running community.

I'm also a wife and a mother of two children and two dogs. I love keeping fit and healthy, walking my dogs, eating out, cooking, baking, socialising with friends and relaxing at home with my beautiful family.

Hi, I'm Hannah and I'm here to help you enjoy running - injury free - for as long as possible

Why running is important to me

Running has been part of my life for many years now and is always something I can turn to in times of joy, sadness and everything in between. As with many of us, these recent years haven’t been plain sailing. Having children, losing loved ones, living through Covid, beating Breast Cancer and dealing with the constant juggling of life, work, studying and relationships has been challenging at times. However, throughout these difficulties the love of my family and running has kept me going and inspired my positive mindset.

This realisation of the power of running and how beneficial it has been for me physically and mentally ignited the idea in me to start something new that I could share with others. I believe the challenges I've encountered in life enable me to motivate and inspire others to believe in themselves.

"The challenges I've encountered in life enable me to motivate and inspire others to believe in themselves."

Injury frustration and getting stronger to run stronger

As a woman in her 40’s who loves to run I've learned the hard way that if you run without any additional physical training then you are putting your body at risk of injury. Over the years my body has changed, weaknesses that weren't there before have emerged - and no runner wants to be sidelined for any period of time through injury!

In the past I've been guilty, despite recurring injuries, of not focussing enough on my strength and conditioning training, mobility and recovery - my running was going well and I became complacent that my body was coping. Little did I know that wasn't sustainable. However, I now know that my lack of strength, recovery and mobility, combined with increased running distances and frequency, was causing injury to my body. I'd got into a cycle of excelling in running, then being sidelined through injury, recovering and getting straight back to running again. It was time for something to change. I knew I had to get stronger physically, but I wanted to know how to do it properly.

And so I embarked on studying - gaining qualifications that would give me the knowledge and experience not just for myself but to share this with others and support them on their running journey. I've loved learning again and relished the opportunity to create something new from scratch...
